Parameters of this construction

3 parameters with default value and limits, adjustable in the editor.

ParameterDefaultRangeNote
Glue flapglueFlap35 mm20–60 mmWidth of the glue flap used to glue the blank into a tube. The material requires a minimum width.
Glue flap angleglueFlapAngle15°0–20°Bevel at the ends of the glue flap; facilitates folding and erection.

Assembly

Glue or stitch the glue flap to the opposite wall. Erect for filling, fold in the inner bottom flaps, place the back outer flap over them first and then the front flap, and glue across the surface, staple, or tape; do the same at the top.

Grain direction parallel to height (check)

Frequently asked questions about this template

What overlaps completely in this slotted container?

The front and back outer flaps each cover the entire opening. They overlap above the previously folded inner flaps. This applies at the top and bottom. A narrow overlap strip is a different construction with its own parameter; this template shows full coverage.

Can I reduce the overlap to 50 mm?

For this ID, full coverage is built into the construction model. It has no parameter for a narrower strip. Use the slotted container with overlapping outer flaps for adjustable overlap. Do not alter the contour simply by scaling or trimming it; this would lose the documented construction status.

Which outer flap is on the outside?

The assembly description places the back outer flap over the bottom or lid first, then the front flap. The front flap is therefore the last layer closed. Check reading direction and hidden artwork areas on a marked sample, especially when both flaps are printed.

Does the double bottom prove a higher load capacity?

No. The dimension model describes the overlapping material layers and blank. It contains no confirmed load verification for your fill weight here. Material quality, gluing, and closure affect actual suitability. Agree on closure areas with your production partner and check the filled box before approval.
