Dimensions and limits
Default dimensions of the template and the permitted range in mm.
| Dimension | Default | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 300 mm | 50–1,200 mm |
| Width | 200 mm | 50–1,200 mm |
| Height | 150 mm | 50–1,200 mm |
Parameters of this construction
3 parameters with default value and limits, adjustable in the editor.
| Parameter | Default | Range | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
Glue flapglueFlap | 35 mm | 20–60 mm | Width of the glue flap used to glue the blank into a tube. The material requires a minimum width. |
Glue flap angleglueFlapAngle | 15° | 0–20° | Bevel at the ends of the glue flap; facilitates folding and erection. |
Flap gapflapGap | 5 mm | 0–12 mm | Gap between neighboring flaps or walls; at least approximately the material thickness. |
Assembly
Glue or stitch the glue flap to the opposite wall and flatten the box. Erect for filling, fold in the inner bottom flaps, close the outer flaps over them, and seal with tape; the top remains open.
Grain direction
Grain direction parallel to height (check)

Frequently asked questions about this template
Does the half slotted container have a lid?
No. The top edge remains open; top flaps are entirely absent. A separate telescoping lid must be designed to fit and checked. This template does not calculate its fit automatically. For a two-part construction calculated together, the telescope box provides a base and lid with their own assembly relationship.
How is the bottom closed?
After erection, fold in the inner flaps and close the outer flaps over them. According to the assembly description, the bottom is sealed with tape. The side seam is glued or stitched beforehand. Check closure and wall alignment on the filled sample; a valid contour does not verify a particular fill weight.
Can flapGap be zero?
The parameter range starts at 0 mm; this corresponds to a knife cut. However, the material-dependent constraint requires room for thickness at the flap corner. The parameter range alone therefore does not allow every combination. The machine minimum must also suit the chosen bottom closure.
What does height mean for the open box?
Height refers to the box body in the selected inside, outside, or crease-to-crease dimensions. There are no top flaps above the wall. Plan product protrusion and any separate lid outside this template, and check the actual usable space on the erected sample.
