Assembly

Position the label's starting edge along a generatrix, align the large arc with the wide opening, wrap around, and glue the end over the start with the glue strip.

Grain direction

No fixed grain direction; check parallel to the body axis on curved bodies

Frequently asked questions about this template

Which arc belongs at the wide cup opening?

The larger diameter belongs to the annular sector's outer arc. In the starting cup, this is the top opening. The template accounts for taper direction and mirrors the blank accordingly. Align the large arc with the wide end when applying it.

Is height the length of the sloping cup wall?

No. The expected input is the vertical height between measured diameters. The construction calculates the generatrix from height and radius difference. If you enter the sloping length as height, the resulting blank differs. Check dimensions in the intended label area.

Can I widen the glue strip arbitrarily?

The dimension range is 0–30 mm. Inner radius and total angle additionally limit the permissible overlap. A value within the range is therefore not always geometrically possible. The starting example uses 10 mm; confirm gluing and fit with a sample made from the target material.

Does this template include the cup bottom?

No. It describes a label on the tapered body with a closed outer outline and glue strip. Bottom, container wall, and their material structure are not constructed. The template also confirms no suitability of the selected paper or adhesive for a particular use.
