Dimensions and limits
Default dimensions of the template and the permitted range in mm.
| Dimension | Default | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Width | 162 mm | 80–400 mm |
| Height | 229 mm | 80–450 mm |
| Corner radius | 0 mm | 0–∞ mm |
Parameters of this construction
3 parameters with default value and limits, adjustable in the editor.
| Parameter | Default | Range | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
Side flapenvelopeSideFlap | 20 mm | 15–60 mm | Width of the side flaps to which the bottom flap is glued; at most 40 % of the width and 30 % of the height. |
Bottom flapenvelopeBottomFlap | 60 % | 35–90 % | Bottom flap depth as a proportion of height; it forms the back of the envelope. |
Closure flapenvelopeClosureFlap | 40 mm | 20–120 mm | Depth of the closure flap at the opening; at most 60 % of height. |
Assembly
Pre-break the blank along all creases. Glue the glue flap to the inside of the opposite wall and lay the carton flat. Erect for filling, fold in the dust flaps, and insert the tuck flaps.
Grain direction
Grain direction vertical on the blank (check)

Frequently asked questions about this template
Why is the starting size 162 × 229 mm?
The pocket envelope uses C5 portrait as its closed finished size starting value. Width runs crosswise, height lengthwise on the address panel; the opening is at the top. The wallet starts in landscape orientation. They are separate construction IDs and also differ in closure flap settings, not only in swapped dimensions.
Does the closure flap automatically grow longer with greater height?
No. envelopeClosureFlap is a length in millimeters. envelopeBottomFlap, by contrast, is a percentage of height. These flaps therefore grow differently after a size change. Deliberately adjust the closure flap and check overlap and the insertion path; merely scaling the old dieline does not represent the parameter model.
Can I widen the side flaps without limits?
No. Besides their own parameter range, they depend on envelope width and height. Overly large side flaps no longer fit under the bottom flap or leave the intended glue area clear. Check both dimensional dependencies and coordinate the final width with the envelope manufacturer.
Is the template a bag with side gussets?
This pocket envelope is a flat construction with folded side flaps and a bottom flap as the back. It includes no parametric gusset depth for bulky contents. Check accommodation of your paper stack on the sample. For a structure with side gussets and a block bottom, there is the separate carrier bag template bag.carrier.
