Frequently asked questions about this template
What does 229 × 162 mm mean for the wallet envelope?
It refers to the closed finished size, as the outside dimensions of the address panel. The opening lies along the long edge. The flat blank also includes side, bottom, and closure flaps. Measure the contents separately and check insertion; the finished size alone does not confirm sufficient interior width.
Can I choose a pointed closure flap?
Yes. walletClosureShape offers straight and pointed. The pointed shape is a triangle with a rounded tip; the straight shape has inset sides and rounded corners. Both use the set closure flap depth. Check glue application on the actual selected shape.
How are the two large flaps adjusted?
walletBottomFlap and walletClosureFlap are percentages of the envelope height. Changing the height therefore changes both depths too. The bottom flap forms the back; the closure flap closes the opening. Recheck the resulting overlap after every size change instead of simply scaling an old blank.
Where is the wallet envelope glued?
First, the side flaps fold inward. The bottom flap lies over them and is glued to the side flaps. After filling, the closure is sealed with a self-adhesive strip or glue. A calculated glue area is not a specification for adhesive, application quantity, or processing on an envelope machine.
